Fresno City Council member Miguel Arias recently sponsored a flag-raising ceremony at Fresno’s Eaton Plaza, located one block from City Hall, to raise the Palestine flag. Known for his engagement in controversial issues during his tenure on the Fresno City Council, Arias continues to be an active participant in discussions that spark public interest
Since the October 7th terrorist attack initiated by Hamas on Israel, some far-left politicians have aligned themselves with terrorist sympathizers, advocating for the end of Israel. Fresno City Council member Miguel Arias is now sponsoring a Palestine flag-raising event, aligning with a group that has expressed the goal of Israel’s extermination. This group, present at Fresno City Council meetings, chants “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free,” and they have been documented burning the Israeli flag at a protest on the corner of Blackstone and Nees.
During his tenure on the city council, Arias has forged connections with far-left extremist activists. His endorsement of unconstitutional mandates amid the COVID-19 pandemic, advocating for the closure of small businesses and places of worship, has sparked controversy. Moreover, Arias faced scrutiny when cited for assaulting journalists who approached his condo to inquire about the unconstitutional shutdown during the pandemic.
The flag-raising ceremony is scheduled for today, Friday, December 8th, at 2:30 PM at Eaton Plaza, which is located just one block away from Fresno City Hall.
